A Bored Bird on the Beach

Considering the strong beak, I guess this one likes shellfish. But I am not sure.

I am however sure that (s)he was bored at the time, and that the wind was coming from the left.

PS: I looked it up, this appears to be a crested tern of some sort. As such it would eat fish, not shellfish. Only problem is that they are supposed to migrate to South America in the winter, and these ones (there were a lot of them) were in North America in february. The bird had no comment on this.

I don't think that's a tern. I think that's just an Emo seagull :-P

Wouldn't that be the fault of Global you-know-what? ;-)

PS: or maybe the tern was headed for Honduras, and since it's a big supporter of President Zelaya, he decided to stay in Canada as a sign of rejection to the coup XD

These birds are amazing. You are right, these ones knew in February of 2008 (when I took this picture) that they should stay in Florida (never seen one in Canada). Probably they have inside contacts at the CIA :)
